Firearms: Source 2.0 is a high adrenaline immersive arcade shooter based in a modern warfare time period and around two fictional factions duking it out across a plethora of battle-torn environments. With a large variety of unique and iconic weapons, the player can load out with the arsenal of their own desire with very few restrictions. Furthermore, they can define a specific role to play in through our skill system allowing players to gain new abilities to become combat medics to a heavily equipped grunt leading the charge. The high paced action and arcade gameplay lends itself to both casual and competitive players. Our focus on unique objective and team-oriented gameplay, with the stunning and immersive visuals of our weapons and environments, make Firearms: Source a leader in the modern warfare shooter market.

With the knowledge and help of our military advisors, we strive to bring some of the most immersive and realistic details to Firearms: Source so that players are not only playing a game, but feel like they are immersed in a simulator. We go the extra mile to make sure that our weapons not only look and sound like real firearms, but that they feel like real firearms. We don’t stop at weapon detail, we make sure that the environments and pace of the game make you feel immersed, whether its bullet crack sounds from tracers flying over head, or the pieces of debris flying off of the wall being shot up behind you. We want to feel like you are in the action.
Most immersive games fall short with attempts for realism in their gameplay. Firearms: Source dances the line between immersion and gameplay to ensure that having fun in both casual and competitive styles is our top priority. We want to entice fast paced gameplay and keeping the players on the front lines, with minimal pesky camping. Grab your assault rifle and charge on the battlefield guns a blazing, because we wouldn’t have it any other way.
Allowing both weapon and character customization puts the player in charge, and allows them to create their own unique gameplay experience. Whether they want to load out with a machine gun as a secondary or have 5 primary weapons is up to them and how they wish to play the game. We push beyond traditional limits so that each user can have a unique experience playing Firearms: Source, as well as creating a platform for replay-ability.
Firearms: Source is a free Half-Life 2 modification, and we plan to keep it free. We want our community to grow as large as it can, so that they can fill up the servers without worrying if they can afford another game. By keeping Firearms: Source free, we allow new players of all types to join in on the fragging.
